On Thursday, January 16th, my team and I offered a Corporate Headshot Booth for Lettuce Entertain You’s venue, The Dalcy located in the historic Fulton Market District. The event space hosted some of their top clients for a day-long event, and the headshot booth was a great way for them to show their appreciation. As hundreds of people came in and out of the space throughout the day, we were able to deliver a truly personal experience.

What’s a Headshot Booth?
In case you’re asking yourself, “What is a headshot booth anyway?” or “Is this like an Olan Mills-style thing?” Let me tell you how a Headshot Booth works:
First, we spoke with the event coordinator, Christine, prior to the event about her vision. Who are the people that will be attending? Would they be most interested in having a professional corporate look or something more like a fun, casual portrait? After hearing from her, we chose one of our hand-painted grey backgrounds that looks good with almost all skin-tones. It’s a photo backdrop that can look professional or casual depending on the person’s outfit.
We provided Christine with information about the headshot booth that she could then send out with their event invite, ensuring people would look their best and come with hair and make-up ready to go! (We can also offer a hair and make-up stylist to attend with our photographers).

Photobooth Fun at The Dalcy
On the day of the event, my team showed up at The Dalcy an hour early to set up. Within the three-hour window they booked us for, we photographed headshots for over 70 people! We were able to display the images right away, so clients could retake their image if they wanted. Each person then spent about 3 minutes selecting their favorites and filling out a form so we could send them their color-corrected online gallery afterward.

We touched up their favorite images and sent each person a link to their downloadable files within 4 days. We had a blast, and the clients seemed happy as well! With the importance of social media, it’s great to have a new, fresh professional corporate headshot. It was wonderful to collaborate with Christine and everyone at The Dalcy to provide this fun and interactive experience for their event.
