Miae met Kevin just three months before they said their vows on June 3, 2017, and they fell in love almost instantly. They got married on a sunny Chicago summer day surrounded by their church friends and family, and we loved getting to capture all of the beautiful moments throughout their wedding.
While there are so many amazing North Shore wedding venues, Schram Memorial Chapel is one of our favorites! The church was built during World War II, and the Glenview Park District purchased, relocated and restored the chapel after the Naval Air Station in Glenview closed in 1995. It has a simple, classic style that complimented the bride and groom’s tastes effortlessly. Miae and Kevin chose white flowers and a simple cake that were both set off with colorful pops of peach, making the whole event elegant, understated and timeless.
There were so many special touches that made Miae and Kevin’s day unique! The ceremony was a modern Korean style wedding, meaning there was no bridal party and the ceremony itself was shorter. In spite of the time crunch, Kevin still managed to surprise his bride by serenading her with a love song during the ceremony, making everyone (even us) tear up.
We are excited to share their special day with all of you and we hope you enjoy seeing their wedding as much as we enjoyed photographing it!
